Introduction to tools and methods

Introduction to the most important methodologies used in astrophysics will be given. The hands-on session will be proposed by all speakers and the participants will be allowed to choose depending on their main interests. The main families of methods including analytical and numerical calculations, synthetic observations, fit and adjustment and machine learning will be covered.

The analytical approach

Patrick Hennebelle (CEA, France) & Francois Levrier (ENS, France)

Numerical simulations

Benoit Commercon (ENS-Lyon, France) & Noé Brucy (ENS-Lyon, France)

Synthetic Observations:

Valentin Legouellec (Barcelone Univ, Spain) & Juan Soler  (Vienna Obs, Austria)

Fit and adjusment to the data

Frédéric Galliano (AIM, France)
